Kim White
Chairman of The Board

Kim White is the owner of IQ in Finance, a company which offers Financial Wisdom Series workshops and related services to empower people of all walks of life to better manage their money. She has served on the Board of Directors of Mabuhay Alliance since 2005 and recently was elected Vice-Chairman of the Board. She spent 15 years with Paychex marketing their payroll, human resource and retirement services. She has created educational business workshops for schools, small businesses and corporations.

Rudy Liporada
Vice Chairman of the Board

Rudy D. Liporada is the proprietor of Lutuang Best, an authorized dealer of Saladmaster High-Tech Cookware Systems dedicated to a healthier way of life. A California State retiree, he moved to San Diego from Ventura County where he served as City of Oxnard Planning Commissioner, Deputy Director of the Filipino American Council of Ventura County, and Editor of the Kapitbahay Newspaper.Before immigrating to the United States in 1987, he taught advertising, feature writing, and photography in Zambia, Africa. He also served as Finance and Administrative Manager for the Philippine Cotton Corporation and Project Monitoring Manager for the Philippine National Economic Development Agency. He is a University of the Philippines graduate with a double major in Economics and Sociology with cognate in Political Science.

Ed Danico

Born January 1, 1943. Joined the US Navy from September 1961 until February 1, 1990. Held the rank of E-1 to E-9 to Chief Warrant Officer 4 upon retirement. Education includes an AA in General Education at Palomar College San Marcos, CA and a Certificate of Achievement in Mechanical Drafting and AA in Real Estate at Palomar College. Ex President Filipino American Exmouth, Australia, Chairman Carmona, Cavite Association of San Diego, Board Member Cavite Association of Southern California Inc. and Mabuhay Alliance Board Member.

Terry Doering

Treasurer

Terry Doering has been working in the Financial Industry for the past 20 years. He is currently a Mortgage Banker with US Bank. He also is the owner of Stogies a company that designs and manufactures cigar humidors and accessories. Terry has been involved with Mabuhay Alliance since our First Economic development Conference and was recently elected Treasurer of the Board.

Elly Aguilar
Director

Elly Aguilar is the former President of Samahan Philippine Dance Company, Board Member of Council of Philippine American Organizations, Secretary, Bicol Club of San Diego County, Board Member, Bayanihan Filipino-American Action Group Chair, Women's Program, COPOA. Received numbers achievements and leadership awards. Co-Fought for the addition of the Pilipino (Tagalog) language at Rancho Bernardo High School.Presently, she is on the Board of Directors for Samahan Filipino American Performing Arts and Education Center, and Board Member of Mabuhay Alliance. Elly received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition.

Dr. Riz Oades, PhD

Dr. Oades is the President and Founder of Kalusugan Health Care in National City. A nonprofit organization, Kalusugan provides Filipino families, sseniors, youth and children with high quality professional service.Dr. Oades has served as board member, Consultant, President, Vice Chair and member of the following: Filipino American Association of San Diego, North County, Asian American Pacific Advocate of California, Filipino American Businessmen and Profesisonal Association, Samahan Philippine Dance Comany, San Diego, Kalusugan Community Services, Philippine American Association of San Diego County, Council of Philippine American Organizations (COPAO); San Diego City Schools Human Race Relations, Student Equtiy and Oversight Placement Committeee; and other city and county task forces and advisory committees.

Pastor Arnel Aquino is the Senior Pastor of Jesus Is Lord Church of San Diego, Regional Pastor of Jesus is Lord USA churches, Treasurer, FEFAM (Fellowship of Evangelical Filipino Ameerican Ministers.Pastor Arnel recieved his degree from the Technological University of the Philippines, in Manila. He has been involved with the Jesus Is Lord Church since 1990.

Kevin Bashir Harris

The owner of Paradise Landscaping Design and Construction & Paradise Landscaping & TreeExperts. Kevin received his introduction to and developed a deep appreciation for landscaping more than 20 years ago while working for Aspen Tree Company in Julian, California. There he spent 7 years moving his way up from tree trimmer, to big tree expert and crew chief. The National City Chamber of Commerce and as been recruited as Chair of the Black Contractor’s Association’s Procurement Committee , in addition to being named newest Member of the Board for Mabuhay Alliance. With a strong sense of social service from Freedom Fighting Campaigns in New Haven, Connecticut, Kevin has always found time to volunteer for and speak on behalf of numerous associations, organizations, and campaigns.

Rowena Guigayoma

Rowena is currently the Financial Center Manager of Citibank, Mira Mesa Branch. Rowena started her banking career at Pilipinas Bank-International Department after she graduated from St. Paul’s College, Manila with a degree in Business Administration. Rowena has Securities Licenses Life & Health, 6, 63 & 26. She has been married for 25 years to Mario, a retired member of the U.S. Navy, and has two children, John and Leia.

A loving wife and mother of six beautiful children, her husband Michael Ware is of Filipino decent and they enjoy learning of Filipino food, culture, and lifestyle. Chanel Ware is a vibrant burst of energy with much enthusiasm, love, and passion for helping others succeed. With a Bachelor of Science in Business Management degree in hand, Chanel has show cased her skills in several endeavors, including Construction Management, Project Management Consulting, and founder of S.O.U.L., Superior Options & Unique Lending, a Mortgage Brokerage. Now, Chanel focuses on what some would consider her top strength, following up. It is this skill that has taken her to high levels of her current business with SendOutCards.

Along with a strategic marketing background, he has managed events nationally and internationally for several years. Dennis-Michael earned an MBA from the University of San Diego.
